	About David
	Owns two businesses in Glen Arbor A home owner in Leelanau County for many years. Currently President of the Glen Lake Chamber of Commerce. Active in community and church. Passion for this area and its sense of community. 30+ years of leadership and administrative experience. Skilled at facilitating cooperation and coordination.

	David is patient and persistent, an excellent listener who tries to understand all sides of an issue. On difficult issues he is calm, reasoned, and seeks to find the middle ground where agreement and action can happen. David has been married for 34 years, has two children, and is soon to have his first grandchild. His volunteer work as the Chamber of Commerce president shows his passion for this area and its sense of community	Christy and David Marshall
	Before moving to Leelanau, David was an administrator in an academic institution where he not only oversaw day-to-day operations and budget, but was also part of the planning and visioning for the future. He dealt with government regulations and paperwork, and was the liaison between faculty, students, comptroller, and deans. Working out contentious issues was part of his daily routine. Living within the budget was a regular task.
